Propeller - EXERCISE - THEN FULL INCEASE

The propeller control should be moved through its complete range to check for proper operation, and then placed in full "INCREASE" rpm for takeoff.
To obtain maximum RPM, push the pedestal mounted control fully forward on the instrument panel.
Do not allow a drop of more than 200 RPM to 300 RPM during this check.

In cold weather the propeller control should be cycled from high to low RPM at least three times before takeoff to make sure that warm engine oil has circulated.
